The challenge
This Quincy chimney near Wollaston had been chasing leaks for two winters. The top courses were spalling, the crown had split, and mortar below the roofline was crumbling — decades of coastal salt air and freeze-thaw had worn it out.
The result
We rebuilt the stack from a sound base with matched brick and type-N mortar, poured a new overhanging crown, set a new flue tile, and capped it in stainless. No more leaks, draft restored, profile matched.
