The challenge
On this Dorchester triple-decker the concrete crown had cracked and was shedding water into the masonry, and the flue had no cap at all — open to rain, snow, and animals. Together they were the leading edge of a much bigger water problem.
The result
We removed the failed crown, poured a new one with an overhang and drip edge, and installed a stainless cap sized to the flue. Quick, targeted, and far cheaper than the rebuild a few more years of open-top water entry would have forced.
